Crosses. We hang them in our homes, in our cars, and even tattoo them on our bodies. When we do so, we likely do so as a way of remembering and celebrating what Jesus did for us. While it is a good and appropriate thing to do, how often do we consider Jesus’ call for us to take up our crosses for him daily? Why is self denial in a world tempting us with “more” so powerful?
