The Resurrection Turns
On Easter Sunday 2022 the focus is only the two turns of Mary Magdalene as she turns to the Risen Jesus twice. In the first turn she offers Jesus her familiar narrative of pain and shame and finds Jesus understands. But it is her second turn, to the voice of Jesus calling her name that leaves Mary stunned and changed forever. Jesus doesn’t just call Mary to turn to him, but you as well.
