Every single one of us acquires baggage in life. Those heavy burdens we carry with us, such as trauma, bad decisions, and relationship pain, among other things, we all carry. Yet we often do our best to pretend otherwise by hiding our baggage, denying it, or seeking to escape from the shame and pain it causes. The bad news is that eventually our souls will be crushed under the weight of whatever it is we are carrying, if we are carrying it alone. But the good news is that Jesus shows us how to share our baggage with God and with our community in a way that brings us healing and life!
