Why Care About Exodus?

The events of the book Exodus in the Bible seem to be like a song you can't get out of your head. Long after the events of the Bible's second book, the familiar tune can still be heard in the Psalms, wisdom literature, prophets, and New Testament. Perhaps the melody of the Exodus is loudest in the Gospels, the stories of His life, death, and resurrection. The biblical authors seem to care so much about the Exodus, but the real question is, why should you?

Scripture References: Exodus 1:1-8

From Series: "Exodus: Rediscovering God"

The events of the book of Exodus are probably the most quoted and referenced stories of the entire Bible. In fact, it might not be too much of a stretch to say that in order to truly understand Jesus, you need to know and understand the Book of Exodus. Beginning this week and stretching throughout the fall, we will be studying the book of Exodus on Sundays. Exodus is the story about rediscovering who God is, not just back then but for you and me today. Join us as we introduce the book of Exodus and rediscover God.
