Many of us know the experience of receiving favors, gifts, and even love that comes with strings attached. A kind of love and relationship that is based on the attitude “you do for me, I do for you” or an attitude of “what’s in it for me”. In Jesus’s day these attitudes prevailed in a social system of shame and honor that revolved around who was invited to the dinner table. Join us as we see Jesus unend this system and give us a vision of God with “No Strings Attached”.
