Revisiting the Garden

Eden. The first humans. The special trees. The serpent. The forbidden fruit. Is this ancient story in the Bible simply an origin story of humanity? A history lesson about our original parents? Or could it very well be a story about us today? Join us as we begin Lent by revisiting the garden!

Scripture References: Genesis 2:5-17, Genesis 3:1-7

From Series: "Lent"

In the season of Lent we seek to formally practice what should be a regular pattern in the life of every Jesus follower, specifically the concepts of repentance, self-denial, and dependence on God. It's a way of reminding us that our lives should bear the shape of the cross, while maintaining an everlasting hope of the resurrection. This sermon series revisits the ancient story of humanity’s temptation in the garden of Eden, as we seek to repent from the ways that we give into temptation and trust God more.
