Jesus described the Holy Spirit as "the Spirit of truth." Many people know and love the phrase spoken by Jesus, "The truth will set you free." But how does the truth set us free? As Richard Rohr has noticed, "Before the truth sets you free, it tends to make you miserable." When the Spirit of Truth is working on us, it first comes to us as a disrupting force, prying at the lies we believe and convicting us to lead more authentic lives. How comfortable are you with the Spirit of Truth making you uncomfortable?
