What does the ascension of Jesus have to do with the garden of Eden, Noah, Leviticus, the Psalms, and you and me? Join us as we begin this series on understanding the ascension of Jesus by understanding this event as an offering to God.
During some of the final moments before Jesus was arrested, he said to his disciples, "It is to your advantage that I go away..." (John 16:7). A little more than forty days later Jesus indeed disappear before their eyes as he "ascended into heaven", as the Apostle's Creed says. Why would it be better for Jesus to leave rather than be here with us? Is the ascension of Jesus a small footnote in the Christian story or is it a vital part of God's rescue of our world? Join us for this three-part series where we dig a little deeper into the ascension of Jesus.
