No one sets out on their wedding day or in the early days of friendship thinking these important relationships will one day be no more. But every day marriages and friendships fall apart. Often the love of these relationships fades if it is neglected or allowed to drift apart. Why? Because the love of these relationships is not automatic but must be nurtured, fueled, and prioritized. The same is true of our relationship with God. Jesus encourages, warns, and shows us how to remember our first love.
